Florence (Firenze in italian) has its own airport (Firenze Peretola) which is connected with several european hubs. Your preferred travel agency/booking site will allow you to find the best flight for you. For those landing at Rome Fiumicino of Milan Malpensa airport (the main italian international hubs together with Venice) Florence can be easily reached by train or car. In fact, Florence is located in the central part of Italy and it is conveniently connected with the rest of country trought fast railways and confortable highways.



Railway station is located near the Arrivals area at Terminal 3  (without leaving the airport, turn right and walk for around 50 meters, then you can find an underground stair in your left). Trains are operated by Trenitalia



Departures from Fiumicino Airport: 11:08 and 15:08. Arrival at Florence Santa Maria Novella Station: 13:22 and 17:22

Departure from Florence Santa Maria Novella Station: 7:38 and 11:38. Arrival at Fiumicino Airport: 9:52 and 13:52.



"LEONARDO EXPRESS": a non-stop service exclusively for airport passengers to/from Rome Termini railway station (the most central in Rome) leaving every 15 minutes* with a journey time of 32 minutes

REGIONAL "FL1" TRAINS: to/from other stations in Rome, including Rome Tiburtina, with departures every 15 minutes (7:08-21.08) or 30 minutes (night and holidays) on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays (this is a more or less a metro). Trains take around 45 minutes to arrive to Tiburtina, which is a hub where you can find trains to most important destinations. Trains to Florence depart every 15-20 minutes at most.  You can choose between Trenitalia and Italo high speed trains. A trip takes 70-75 minutes.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!: Date & time must be punched on your ticket before departure using yellow machines located near platforms ("obliteratrice").

There is a train connecting Milano Malpensa airport to Milano Central railway station departing every 30 minutes, duration is 52 minutes. Then, there are many high speed trains connecting Milano Centrale to Firenze S. Maria Novella, taking 1h and 41minutes. Trains are operated by: Trenitalia and Italo.
